This semester, we are running campaigns on a lot of big issues. To
solve these problems we’ll be working with students to organize panel
discussions, collect petition signatures, generate calls to
congressmen, and get media coverage.
As classes start we will be
launching our fall campaigns. We need to hear from you to know which
issues we should tackle first. Please take a moment to fill out the form below to let us know which issues you care about most. Make sure to let us know if you are interested in an internship!
Take the Food Stamp Challenge
Experience what it is like to eat on the average food stamp benefit for a week – approximately $1 per meal.
While living on a food stamp budget for just a week cannot come close to the struggles encountered by low-income families week after week and month after month, it does provide those who take the Challenge with a new perspective and greater understanding.
Fill out the form below to sign up to take the Challenge from March 1st-7th.
By signing up, you pledge to eat on $3 per day or $21 for the week during WashPIRG's Hunger and Homelessness Challenge Week.
