Take Action to Stop Global Warming

Sign the petition to our State Legislators, asking them to pass strong legislation for reducing global warming pollution.

Dear Legislator,
Addressing the problem of climate change today is critical to being able to pass on a healthy environment to future generations. So we are excited that our state’s leaders are moving forward with real solutions to global warming in the 2008 legislative session.

If approved, these proposals would provide our state with a framework for reducing our global warming pollution into the future and cut our emissions right now. We want the legislature to prioritize funding for key climate change legislation:
    -Climate Action and Green Jobs (HB 2815 and SB 6516)
    -Local Solutions to Global Warming (HB 2797 and SB 6580)
    -Affordable Energy Efficient Appliances (HB 2876 and SB 6379)
    -Promoting Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings (HB 2888 and SB 6515)

These bills will help create both a long-term plan and short-term results for reducing our state’s green house gas emissions. If we are to meet the challenges presented to us by global warming, we must commit to funding these measures in the supplemental budget now.
